Chapter 1 - Professional Presence
IN THIS LESSON
You don’t have to disappear from your online forums, but decide what you want to share publicly vs privately.
*Disclaimer: the internet is FOREVER and all shares come with risk. It’s up to you to decide how much risk you are comfortable with.
Many people have separate business and personal profiles on social media.
If you are promoting a clinic or practice, you can lean into the branded aspect of your online presence.
If you are a solo or private practitioner, you will likely need to share more personal content and info — but you never have to share everything.
Be respectful in your sharing of others on your public accounts: ask for permission to share and tag, and verify any posting that may involve a child under 18.
Safe personality shares: pets, food, and personal routines.
