Agent Amileena Oleson is here to keep the balance between the magical reality and the one we know through jager shots, badly sung power ballads, and all the resources that small town South Dakota can provide as she solves problems for faerie and foe alike.

A diagnosed Dissonant and neurodivergent, Amileena “Ami”, returns to her hometown after years away to help patrol the border between two realities, based in the sacred Black Hills of South Dakota. While doing her job, Ami encounters old friends and romantic inklings and stirs up long-dormant animosity too—and that’s just on this side of reality!

Something is triggering waves of Dissonance and reality hot spots in town, and Ami is the agent who needs to find out what is happening. Crossing back and forth to the equal but opposite faerie realm, Ami learns that both history and reality are often written by the winners while she meets potion masters, new age buffalo cultists, sugar nymphs and assorted “mythical” creatures.
