The Closet Theory of Web Design

And Other Digital Nonprofit Fails

Coming Soon

When you live in a home or apartment for many years, you’ve probably noticed your closet contents expanding. Maybe you added an extra shelf, or donated a few items to the second-hand shop to create some more space, but that closet is still dangerously close to overflowing–and adding even one more item may cause an avalanche. Every few years you’ll have to stop and properly clean and organize the closet or else it will cease to be used.

If you run a small business or nonprofit, your website is essentially the digital closet of your organization.

Website design and management isn’t a one time thing, but an ongoing process. After spending over a decade helping to sort, fix, and reorganize client web content, author Kate Hagan Gallup has developed a strategy to help clean and manage your web closet. Learn to overcome the fear of smart editing, understand how your initial design may or may not scale, and the process of staying on top of the latest web trends and fashions while on a tight budget.
